This is the "row-bot"its a robot that cleans up pollution and gets energy by swallowing dirty water. Jonathan Rossiter made it to help with the harmful alga bloom and agricultural run-off in Cornwall, UK. I chose this video because it was the first video that seemed interesting to me. It lured me in, I like robots, It would be a better world if people stopped littering and start recycling. But up to where we are we have to come up with solutions and I think this robot will help with cleaning the oceans. You guys should chec it out because its a cool video, and the guy has a cool british accent.

    1. This "row-bot" is a cool invention created by Johnathan Rossiter. I definitely think people should use this more because this robot "eats" pollution. It could also limit the amount of pollution in the sea and less animals in the sea would be harmed. Pollution is one of the worlds big problems but this robot could limit pollution in the sea.

    2. https://www.ted.com/talks/jonathan_rossiter_a_robot_that_eats_pollution#t-125141 I'm replying to Leslys Ted Talks. I believe it is a super cool robot. Along with Lesly, I think robots are cool and I have a liking towards them. Finding new ways to help make polllution stop, I'm all for that. This robot eats pollution, I've never heard of anything like that so it was interesting to find out it does. I highly recommend others to watch.

    3. Watching this Ted Talks about the "row bot" was very interesting. It's a very cool invention that could help our environment. This robot eats the trash that we throw on the ground, having robots like this will help stop pollution and will make our world a better place. Hopefully this will become a thing we can actually use all over the world.

  3. https://www.ted.com/talks/amy_adele_hasinoff_how_to_practice_safe_sexting
This article is about the risks of sexting, even though sometimes it could seem like fun. A serious violation of privacy shouldn't be one of the risks. Amy Adele Hasinoff looks at problematic responses to sexting in mass media, law and education. She offers practical solutions for how individuals and tech companies can protect sensitive or scandalous digital files. I chose this video because this happens in everyday life and everyone should know the positive parts and the risks of sexting.

The article does talk about the risks of sexting. I do believe that sexting is a terrible thing to do and no one should do it. The article goes into depth about the risks and it should since there are so many risks.Amy Adele explains the risks and gives the solutions to these things. Unfortunately sexting happens in everyday but it is good to know the "good" or bad things about sexting

She talks about how there is nothing wrong with sexting, as long as its consensual. Sexting can be a problem if someone posts photos without the persons permission. today, 33% of teens sext. Sexting with teens can be dangerous because they often show or share these photos without permission. I picked this video because i also feel like sexting isnt wrong its just some people abuse it, sexting has its pros and cons.

  5. https://www.ted.com/talks/james_veitch_the_agony_of_trying_to_unsubscribe#t-448914 James Veitch talks about how he tried to unsubscribe from a supermarket subscription about how there will be a opening of the supermarket. So he unsubscribe the company but the message about the opening pops in his inbox. So he explains how at first he was frustrated but then he played with the company by emailing them how he was excited for the opening of the supermarket . This continued until the company emailed him say thank you for your email giving him a number, then he did the same thing too. I picked this video because i agree when trying to unsubscribe from something can be a bit frustrating. I think my classmates should checkout because its very interesting and a good video to watch.

    1. James Veitch talks about how he tried to refuse a subscription to a supermarket that would open. So he unsubscribed, but the messages still continued to come to him. He began to get annoyed, but instead of writing a complaint, he began to conduct a diolog with Dann (the guy who works there). His dialogue was funny and ironically, and so it went on until Dann began to send him letters with the code, but James in response, too, began to write him messages with the code. This is a very interesting video and good to watch
"If ever you feel weighed down by the bureaucracy and often mundanity of modern life, do not fight the frustration."

  7. https://www.ted.com/talks/jeff_kirschner_this_app_makes_it_fun_to_pick_up_litter#t-136948
Jeff Kirschner created an app called Litterati. He talked about taking pictures of this litter and posting it. People would start to throw out the litter that they took pictures of and he created a data from all the pictures people took from around the world. This is important because litter makes our world a dirty environment. Animals could get trapped in them and it could effect us.This app he created is supposed to encourage people to pick up litter and throw it away. If more people start to do this we would see a change on the streets.

    1. https://www.ted.com/talks/jeff_kirschner_this_app_makes_it_fun_to_pick_up_litter#t-136948 I agree 100% with what you said about how if more people used the app the earth would be a less polluted place. Technology runs the world and people need something flashy that will grab their attention so they'll want to take part in it. Putting up flyers in a hallway or on a lamppost has been the technique of sharing information about a topic for years and it really isn't making much of a difference. But having an app that allows you to have fun while keeping the planet healthy is not only interesting but beneficial.

I chose this Ted Talks by Chianka Hodge because it addressed issues of sexism that are still present today. Chianka talked about how far women have come from just being docile and the shadowed gender. She also talked about empowering young women as being the next generation of activist and great women. Overall her speech was empowering as it convinced women and daughters that this was the age of legends.

    1. I agree that this Ted Talks is very empowering. Chianka Hodge made a poem talking about women and how we have been overlooked and pushed to the side like nothing. She encourages us to fight for equality because she knows we are capable of doing it. Chianka shows women all over the world that have the right to defend yourself in any situation.

I chose this Ted Talks by Adam Galinsky because it us very empowering. He encourages others to speak up for themselves. I have trouble with speaking up for myself, that's why I found it very interesting. In his presentation, he talk's about different double binds. Those who don't speak up go unnoticed and those who do speak up, fear rejection. Adam Gelinsky teaches others to inspire the pepole around them.

    1. I totally agree with how this was very empowering. I found this interesting because i have trouble also speaking up for myself and even some of my closest friends, but I do say positive things to them and i help them cheer up when they need it. I do sometimes feel like speaking up, but i can't because i feel like i'm going to be judge. I'm defiantly going to use this more often so i can speak up for myself and my friends more often and won't be afraid too.
