In the last post we discussed how a community of readers gives new life to a blog. The great thing about blogs is that they can be about anything and it is a fresh perspective from outside the mainstream. Do you love to travel? Start a travel blog and it becomes your unique view on the topic. For this post I want you to pretend this is your blog. Write a post about a recent experience you had with something you have a strong opinion about. It can be negative or positive. Your post should be 6-10 sentences at a minimum. Compare and contrast what you are writing about with other things similar to your topic. For example: If you are writing about a record from a particular artist, compare it to similar artists or the artists earlier work. Same for restaurants, etc. See examples for ideas. The key is to be passionate.

Recently I have been into photography. My friend and I have been going to different locations and taking photos of each other. It's a good stress reliever especially my horrible hilarious poses. We usually eat and just have a good time enjoying each other's company. My personal thoughts on this activity is great because we go to new and unique places all the time. Whether it's sitting and chatting on rocks in Coney Island or going to a cute coffee shop in Manhattan.
ReplyDeleteWho's the better soccer player Messi or Ronaldo? Yes Messi has more Ballon d'Or's than Ronaldo but does that actually prove he's better? P.S a Ballon d'Or is awarded to "The Best Player of The Year". In total Messi has 5 Ballon d'Or's and Ronaldo has 4. You might think just because Messi has more Ballon d'Or's he's better that's not completely the case, although he did have a 4 year winning streak. Messi and Ronaldo both play for a team that has a strong rivalry Ronaldo(Real Madrid) and Messi (FC Barcelona). If your not into soccer think of the rivalry between the Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors, yes it's that serious. The difference between the two is that Messi was just talented with the game and Ronaldo had to work for it. Ronaldo is more on the showoff side while Messi is more humble about his skill. To be honest you can't really decide who is the better player because their both great. Unless you take a look at stats and compare the two.
ReplyDeleteRecently i've been into the Netflix show Grey's Anatomy. This show is amazing for so many reasons. The show is full of action , it is also full of drama between basically all the characters and there is just so many things that happens all in one episode. The show is evenly thought out even when theres a cliff hanger at the end of the show. Grey's Anatomy is a very long show season wise which is good because that means you could binge watch the show for days. The show is very dramatic when it comes to a certain point in a certain season. The actors and actresses are so good in playing these roles that the show seems very realistic. Even though most of the characters are killed off and replaced with new ones it's okay because thats what keeps the show new.
ReplyDeleteI recently have been listening to the rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and his music is the best. I honestly feel like he's the g.o.a.t. (greatest of all time). His music makes you feel like you don't need anyone and that you are independent and you can go through tough times but still get through it better than ever. Exes, liars, back stabbing friends, fake people all of those things he talks about in his songs and then after listening to him you will be like who cares about them and then wouldn't even think about having those type of people in your life again. His music tells you how to do you and keep grinding. I recommend his music for anyone who is sad or who just got out of a bad break up because after listening to one song you wouldn't even care about the break up or why you were even sad. He's honestly an awesome person that i look up to, my dad and the goat.
ReplyDeleteOne of the many advantages of being a west indian is growing up listening to soca music. It recently became a huge influence in my everyday life. "Soca does give me powers" , as it says in one of the many famous soca songs Phenomenal by Benjai. Listening to soca will put you into a whole other world. It just makes you feel good. You can express this feeling by dancing(whining). Soca music can also fill you with energy and excitement. It takes your mind off of things and leaves you stress free.
ReplyDeleteIs 13 reasons why a good show ? When I first saw the trailer I thought It would be a interesting show to watch. After watching it i think the show made a impact of what high school is like these days now. I really like how the show was related to high school because not a lot of shows are related to high school and if they are there are some where you can't relate to the show but find it interesting for example gossip girl (season 1-2). The main character,Hannah, I did feel bad for her in some episode of the show but I also thought she was a little dramatic in some certain episodes but in the end I felt bad for her. I think if she would of open up or stay with clay because clay was nice and would have helped her she probably wouldn't have died. But overall I liked 13 reasons why and it's a great to show to watch.
ReplyDeleteDo you like the walking dead? I fell in love with the show the second i watched it. It might not be real but it sure is a great show! After watching the first episode i couldnt stop watching it. I love how realistic the "walkers" look. Its a scary show if you dont like blood and guts. But the show and characters show lots of emotions. As the show continues the walkers start to decay more and more. I have a theory that they will eventually die out. I recommend "The walking dead" i am positive that you will love it
ReplyDeleteIn my home country in Kazakhstan when you have international flight to another country, then you have to come to the airport much early, probably 2-3 hours before your flight. Because we have to stay in the line and register the visa and passport and this registration takes long time.
ReplyDeleteA few years ago, we had to go home from the city of Nice, France, we habitually arrived at the airport 3 hours before registering our tickets. There were nobody in the hall of airport, we were very surprised when the worker said that the airport opens 30 minutes before the flight. We had sit and felt sleept. I remember these feelings because when we woke up, we had 20 minutes before departure. We were in a hurry and nervous that we would be late for the plane. Fortunately, we managed and well traveled back to Kazakhstan. The confusing situation was that we were first who came to airport and last who came in plane.
I watched the movie The choice and it was definitely a great movie. It showed what true love is like and if it's meant to be it will happen. I recommend watching it if you like love stories plus it was kind of funny. Gabby (the main character) and Travis (the guy she meets) are very cute together. I feel this movie shows everything will work out even if it's not what you planned.
ReplyDeleteEver since I was young, I had a strong liking for geography. I remember having this huge map in my room above my desk when I was young (idk where it is now lol). I'm thinking about majoring in geography or having a career to do with it. I don't really like traveling or going on planes/ long car rides, so learning about foreign places in my own home has always been good enough for me.
